GLOAM began in 2019 in a two-room workshop above a hardware store in Rotterdam. We were buying pipes, glass and lighters like everyone else, and we kept hitting the same wall: everything was either disposable, or it was pretending to be jewellery.
So we started milling our own. One pipe first, then a glass rig, then the small things nobody bothers to do properly — trays, papers, lighters. We kept the parts that work and cut everything that only existed to justify a price tag.
If we would not carry it in our own pocket, it does not go on the shelf.
